Amazon Review: Even more relevant today in 2022 than it was when it was published in 2016!
“This is a fast, gripping, and eye-opening read. I finished it in one sitting. The whole time I was reading, I had to keep reminding myself that this book was published six years ago, and so, when the author wrote this book, he did not know what was going to happen on February 24, 2022 in Ukraine. Yet somehow (I guess in part by being more aware of the facts than most people and by not buying blindly into propaganda) the author knew the current crisis was probably going to happen sooner or later, and he understood its causes far better than most people do who are living through it now. Even after all the research I’ve done in the past month on Ukraine, this book gave me much more insight into how Ukraine fits into our nation’s brutal pattern of continual attempts to overthrow other governments in pursuit of global hegemony and wealth. Maybe if more Americans had read his book and followed the author’s brilliant ideas, the US would be at peace with Russia and the rest of the world now, rather than looking at a possible beginning to World War III as it is instead. I’m a long-time proponent of universal basic income, and this book could move us in that fruitful direction while at the same time moving us away from our disastrous unending path toward senseless regime-change wars. I hope to God it’s not too late for the U.S. to turn away from its present path. Our nation need to stop waging needless warfare and embrace policies that make our people healthier and our world better. I strongly recommend The Peace Dividend.”
