The Peace Dividend movie is intended for the big screen, as a major national release, an experience for the entire viewing public. If there’s a model for the style and mood, it would be any of Michael Moore’s more successful films, for example, Fahrenheit 9/11 or Bowling For Columbine. Only much more powerful! More hard-hitting! More of a call for citizen action!
For it to be effective, it needs to not only be informative and thought-provoking, but engaging and entertaining. Riveting and galvanizing! People should leave the theater outraged at the lies they’ve been told, the money stolen from them for the illegal wars and buying unnecessary military junk. They should be galvanized into ACTION!
We are reaching out to well-known celebrities who have been outspoken politically, for peace and related issues, to narrate the film — to be the voice and face of the Peace Dividend movement.
Among those we’re approaching are Danny Glover, Viggo Mortensen, John Cusack, and Susan Sarandon.
